1. Overcharging at karaoke venues
They may add unannounced extra charges such as taxes, manager tips, evening tips, table charges, unused food, etc. In particular, they sometimes add a “second round” fee to the bill along with a 10% tax. If this happens, you can say: “I will pay the second round fee separately; please remove it from the bill.”
2. Overcharging at clubs
They may secretly add hard-to-count items like balloons or drinks to the bill when customers are drunk.
3. Airport taxis
The prices are slightly higher than Grab, but if you know the Grab price beforehand, you won’t be overcharged.
